No Homework From Marty Crutcher, a third grade teacher at Love Chapel Elementary School in Erwin, Tennessee: "I use a No Homework sign to encourage good behavior at the end of the school year. I laminated the letters NO HOMEWORK on index cards and hung them. Every time the entire class turns in the homework, I remove a letter. When all the letters are gone, we have a 'no homework' night. This works well during the last six weeks of school because although I try to give more fun work, I still need incentives to help keep my students motivated." |
